Do you like the new contest rules (one winner of the week) for Uneetee?
Uneetee Contest Rules
any comments or ideas?
I only have a problem with the winning designs lately, the past 2 designs haven't sold much.
i think uneetee should put the score result for each design on the vote page.

I liked it before
I liked the one a day design deal. Although I can understand that it is a lot more work to sell one a day t-shirt designs. It kind of goes hand and hand, but I prefer the classic way. Not argueing about the $10 deal they do each day now with the collections.

Re: Uneetee Contest Rules
The thing is, I think what they are doing now is giving more artists prints, if I remember correctly, it was one winner a month. Then it was 1st -5th place all receiving different amounts(not my favorite). Then it was 4 winners a month or 1 a week. Now it's 4 winners a month and refreshed one a day instee which is a great idea for exposure. I noticed that since the instee I have gotten a lot more sales when my shirt is up, and more reprints. So with that alone I'm happy with how it is now. I think they are expanding and with that hopefully only more opportunities will be there for us artists.

Mixed Appeal
I definitely appreciate how their current model creates additional exposure for different select artists. Like Arrow was saying, the one design I have in the collective picked up in sales since the 10-dollar feature so that's a plus. However, they did establish a really strong differentiator that created the initial draw for shoppers: a different design everyday. For the casual passer-by, this was pretty clever, but I don't know if you all followed the website closely back then, but they started picking faves and every other day, they featured the same two-three designers. I was hesitant to begin submitting any artwork because I started to see this pattern. Even with all of the great submissions available to pick from, I don't feel like they drew from the complete pool of artists, which is why I enjoy the current guidelines a little bit more. The prints are more representative of the talent participating.
Sorry I'm getting wordy, but another thing to consider is their presentation and undeniable competition with groups that have been in the game for way longer who run a tight ship and really have their act together. By creating a larger catalog, Uneetee is able to indirectly provide clarity for the participating artists (contenders/archive), and expose users to a broader feature of illustrations. I've had to resend several pieces of communication just asking simple questions about the process, sometime with, sometimes without a reply at all.
I could go on and on, but do you see how I've got mixed feelings about the setup? I'm encouraged to enter for the great input from our peers, but I question the inconsistent company model. I feel they may be going through some growing pains. I am really excited about the direction they're taking and hope they find their solid niche.
